Venue
The EZI2017/5RCAPI will be held at the Campus de Gambelas, University of Algarve, located between the city of Faro and its airport. The meetings will take place on the Faculty of Economy Auditorium.
The city of Faro is the capital of Algarve and is characterised by its proximity to Ria Formosa, a lagoon area of extreme beauty. In the city and its surroundings you can visit several archaeological and cultural heritage sites, such as the Roman Ruins of Milreu, Estói Palace and the Municipal Museum of Faro.
City access is easily done by plane, train or car. Faro is well supplied by hotels and hostels for your lodging.

How to get to Faro?
Plane

The Faro Airport is located around 8 km from downtown and it has regular flights from and to several of the main European cities. There are two bus lines that connect the airport and downtown Faro: Line 14 and Line 16. One way taxi trip is around 20€.

Other alternatives are Seville Airport (200 km from Faro) and Lisbon Airport (300 km).
Train & Bus
From Lisbon

You can arrive from Lisbon by train (Pendular or Intercidades). One-way tickets vary between 20€ and 30€.

There are also several bus companies that do this trip. One way tickets is around 19€.
From Sevilla
Car

Portugal has a good road system, therefore you can use a car to arrive to Faro or rent a car to travel to the University or to visit the region.
From Lisbon

Get the 25 de Abril Bridge or the Vasco da Gama Bridge directed to A2. By the end of A2 turn east to Via do Infante highway (A22/E1) on Faro’s direction and follow the signs (Exit 13 > EN125/Faro/Airport direction).
From Sevilla

Get the E1/A49 west on the direction of Portugal. Cross the border and enter the to Via do Infante highway (E1/A22). Follow it to Faro (Exit 14 > N2/Faro direction).
How to get to Campus de Gambelas?
Bus: Faro <-> Gambelas

There are two bus lines connecting Faro (Terminal Rodoviário) and the Campus de Gambelas: Line 18 and Line 19. The trip price is 1.5€ (one-way trip) or 2€ (round trip).

The bus has two stops inside the Campus. You should get out on the first stop, right after the Campus entrance (the meetings will be held at the Faculty of Economy, just in front of the bus stop).
Car & Taxi: Faro <-> Gambelas

​Exit Faro by EN125, on the Airport direction. Turn to the Airport (EN125-10) and, after ca. 500 meters, turn right on the exit to Montenegro/Gambelas/Universidade. At the roundabout turn right and follow the Rua (street) Abel Viana. After ca. 700 meters turn left to Rua das Margaridas. Turn on the second street right, Rua das Violetas, and then on the second street left, Rua dos Malmequeres. The Nascente (East) Entrance of the Campus is just in front and there is parking inside and outside the facilities.
